Rekha Rao is Vice President of Program Management at RayzeBio. She brings more than 25 years of biopharma experience and deep expertise in drug development, spanning research, development, medical affairs, portfolio and program management, and strategic operations.
Before joining RayzeBio, Rekha led R&D Portfolio Strategy and Execution at Amgen, overseeing early-stage portfolio and program management, strategic resource management, and the R&D M&A Integration Center of Excellence. A versatile leader, she has guided drug development teams, organizations, and enterprise-wide transformations while building capabilities that strengthen operating models, accelerate drug development, and improve portfolio decision-making.
Rekha is passionate about developing people, building innovative capabilities, and aligning scientific innovation with operational excellence to accelerate drug development and improve outcomes for patients.
She holds an MS in Biotechnology from M.S. University in India, an MS in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.
